The University of Alberta Sexual Assault Centre provides a safe place on campus where unconditional support, confidentiality,
respect, and advocacy are available for those affected by sexual assault.
The Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton exists to empower individuals affected by sexual abuse and assault and to empower communities to take action against sexual violence
As professionals working with victims/survivors/patients, it is important to identify and understand the common reactions to rape and sexual assault. It is extremely empowering and comforting for the survivor to be reminded that they are not alone, and to be allowed to make their own choices with respect to service provision and care.
SARC’s primary purpose is to provide a voice in the community on the issue of sexual abuse/assault
The mission of AASAS is to provide leadership, coordination, collaboration and a unified voice on issues of sexual abuse and sexual assault

Group work includes monthly meetings, one-on-one hospital visits, newsletters, awareness sessions, parades, and presentations at health fairs and service clubs like Rotary, Gyro, and Lions.
