The Student Sexual Assault Response Team (SSART) offers confidential crisis intervention to students who have been victims of sexual assault.

Group for Adult Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse

Seton Hill University, Grantham

This group provides a safe setting for men who have survived childhood sexual abuse. Education and support are provided to enable the clients to cope with their traumas with less avoidance and denial, stop the emotional swing between numbing and dissociation and rage and impulsivity, and process issues of guilt, sadness, anger, survivor guilt, shame and loss.

Men Against Sexual Assault and Rape (M.A.S.A.R.)

Haverford’s Men Against Sexual Assault and Rape (M.A.S.A.R.) is a group of men dedicated to making rape and sexual assault not only a women’s issue, but a men’s issue as well.

Haven Project

Indiana University (of Pennsylvania), Indiana

The Haven Project is designed to increase and improve counseling and advocacy services for students who experience violence. The Haven Project also offers prevention education about stalking, dating/relationship violence, and sexual assault.

We see men as valuable allies in the fight against gender violence, and we use this interactive program to motivate involvement and to brainstorm ways to help.

One in Four

One in Four is an all-male sexual assault peer education group. We present a one-hour program, “How to Help a Sexual Assault Survivor: What Men Can Do,” to any group of men who will listen — sports teams, residence hall students, student organizations, fraternities, off campus groups.

Youth Violence Reduction Project (YVRP)

In 1999, YVRP was launched as a collaborative effort involving law enforcement, city agencies and nonprofits. These organizations are working together to reduce youth homicide and other violent crime in Philadelphia’s most lawless areas; the initiative provides support and supervision to youth deemed most likely to kill or be killed.
