One in Four at the University of Virginia

One in Four is an all-male sexual assault peer education group at U. VA.    We present a one-hour program, “How to Help a Sexual Assault Survivor:  What Men Can Do,” to any group of men who will listen – sports teams, residence hall students, student organizations, fraternities, off-campus groups – anyone.

Sexual and Domestic Violence Services

University of Virginia, Charlottesville

Sexual and Domestic Violence Services (SDVS) educates students, staff, and faculty at the University of Virginia about intimate violence and its impact on our community. We provide support to survivors of these crimes, work to strengthen the University’s responses and policies so that all victims are treated fairly and appropriately, empower women to resist abuse, and empower men to embrace their role as allies in this work, so that the violence comes to an end.

Mason Strong

George Mason University, Fairfax

Mason Strong is a students group at GMU dedicated to helping men think about and discuss topics that we may not be so comfortable talking about, such as masculinity, sex, and violence.

Sexual Assault Services (SAS) Male Survivors

George Mason University Sexual Assault Services (SAS) is committed to providing direct services for anyone impacted by sexual assault, stalking and dating/partner violence. All services are available to survivors, and to their families, significant others, and friends at no cost.

One in Four

James Madison University, Harrisonburg

One in Four is a JMU organization dedicated to decrease the incidence of rape and sexual assault. The all-male group presents, The Men’s Program to all-male groups around campus and in the Harrisonburg community.

The Counseling & StudentDevelopment Center offers free, confidential, and long-term individual, group, and emergency sexual assault counseling services for JMU students; advocacy services for survivors including assistance with medical, judicial, and legal referrals; and, finally, consultation services for faculty, staff, family members, and friends of sexual assault survivors.

The ODU SART is a coordinated team of professionals who are committed to providing sexual assault resources, support services, and education to ODU students, faculty, and staff.

Concerned Black Men of Petersburg


We, the members of the Concerned Black Men of Petersburg, Inc., have committed ourselves in providing positive male role models/mentors in support of the social, emotional, academic and positive growth/development of youth.

The Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office

(for Marine Corps Base, Quantico), Marine Corps Station, Beauford (SC)

The Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office will serve as the single point of contact to facilitate victim support services, promote sexual assault training and awareness, and provide policy and program assistance to commands located aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico.

DCMetroDads provides support to other at-home fathers and fathers who are considering this life choice.  Our mission is to help reduce the isolation our fathers experience, and to provide social and educational activities for our members.

Alliance for Sexual Assault Prevention

The Alliance for Sexual Assault Prevention unites nine campus groups that deal with Sexual Assault related issues.

Men Ending Violence

Statewide: Richmond

This program is a part of the Virginia Department of Health’s Rape and Sexual Violence Prevention Program. Men Ending Violence focuses on engaging men and boys in reducing sexual violence through education, training, funding, and resources.

The Red Flag Campaign (on)  Facebook

Statewide: Charlottesville & Richmond (a project of the VSDVAA – see below) (and nationally)

Red Flag Campaign is a public awareness campaign designed to address dating violence and promote the prevention of dating violence on college campuses. The campaign was created using a “bystander intervention” strategy, encouraging friends and other campus community members to “say something” when they see warning signs (“red flags”) for dating violence in a friend’s relationship.
